Our Students
Creative Space Beirut’s students are the beating heart of our institution. They come from diverse backgrounds, encompassing a spectrum of vulnerable socioeconomic circumstances across Lebanon, including Palestinian and Syrian refugee communities. Each year, approximately 50% of an average of 150 applicants are invited for interviews based on their portfolios and demonstrated talent. The selection process prioritizes individuals from economically or socially challenged backgrounds. Following interviews, about 25 candidates are chosen to participate in an intensive workshop program designed to evaluate their creative potential and character. Ultimately, between 7 - 10 students, aged 16-25, are selected to join the program.
Throughout their enrollment, Creative Space Beirut students are provided with full financial support, including housing, transportation, and supplies. CSB provides a safe space of learning, creativity and productivity that alleviates the emotional distress of its beneficiaries, offering relief and purpose and fostering resilience, community, and change in challenging circumstances. By championing diversity and inclusion, CSB ensures that creatives from a variety of backgrounds have the opportunity to explore and develop their talents in a supportive environment. This approach empowers individuals and nurtures their potential to contribute positively to society.
