Joe Koueik
Class of 2022
Beirut, Lebanon
February, 1999
Joe Koueik is a fashion designer and founder of his emerging eponymous label, a storytelling-driven brand that transforms personal memories, emotions, and experiences into garments. Through his work, clothing becomes a vehicle for narrative, with each collection building a world of characters and stories shaped by his own reflections and observations. His practice combines technical precision with a strong conceptual approach, resulting in work that is both personal and expressive.
Alongside developing his label, Joe is currently a co-designer and pattern maker at the Lebanese brand Vanina, a role he has held since 2023. He has also worked as a freelance designer and pattern maker with designers including fellow Creative Space Beirut alumnus Roni Helou and Yassmin Saleh. His technical expertise spans pattern making, draping, sewing, drawing, and textile fabrication, making him a versatile contributor across the design process.
Joe’s professional experience includes contributing to a custom commission for H.H. Sheikha Sheikha Al Thani in Qatar through Roni Helou’s studio and serving as Assistant Designer, under designer Milia Maroun, for the Riyadh Season Opening Exhibition in Saudi Arabia. In 2024, his work was featured as part of the Harper’s Bazaar Arabia × Creative Space Beirut collaboration. He also serves as Secretary of the CSB Alumni Club, supporting the growing network of Creative Space Beirut graduates.
