Ammoon Abou Akrouche

CLASS OF 2028
Kab Elias, Bekaa, Lebanon.
April, 2003

Born in the Beqaa Valley to a family of farmers, Ammoon grew up in the town of Kab Elias, inspired by stories of her late great-uncle, a fashion designer whose legacy shaped her early imagination. At twelve, she created her first dress from chocolate wrapping paper, an instinctive act that sparked a lasting passion for fashion and design. That same year, after watching Creative Space Beirut alumnus Ahmed Amer on Project Runway Middle East, she set her sights on studying at CSB. Despite financial constraints and detours. including pursuing a degree in medical laboratory sciences at her parents’ urging, fashion remained central to her identity. After several delayed applications due to the Beirut explosion and Israel’s war on Lebanon, Ammoon finally joined CSB in 2025, calling it “a childhood dream come true.” She describes creativity as a reflection of her inner self, expressed through fabric and form. At CSB, she has found both technical growth and a safe, supportive community that continually challenges her potential. Her ambition is to establish her own fashion brand, serve a diverse clientele, and inspire others through collaboration, shared learning, and expressive design.
