Collaborations

Partnerships with boutiques, private clients, and industry stakeholders are crucial to CSB's curriculum. These collaborations provide hands-on experience, enhance practical industry understanding, and foster a cooperative spirit within the students and community. Engagements with NGOs and humanitarian initiatives further instill a strong sense of social responsibility among students.

  • CSB X WARDÉ - 2024

    In response to Lebanon's displacement crisis due to Israeli aggression on Lebanon, Wardé mobilized the design community to support the production of 7,000 fleece blankets for relief efforts, generously donating all materials. Creative Space Beirut students cut, sewed and produced 1,000 blankets at the space.

  • CSB X L’ARTISAN DU LIBAN - 2024

    The collaboration between CSB students and L'Artisan Du Liban was a valuable component of their experiential learning, enabling five students to enhance their design skills, explore traditional crafts, and engage with a boutique as a client. As part of the project, students conducted research, visited the boutique, and learned traditional techniques from skilled artisans. They then designed and created products for L'Artisan Du Liban, either working closely with an artisan or developing their designs independently.

  • CSB X 19.8 - 2024

    A collaboration with NGO Li Beirut which saw student Jihan Azzam join the 19.8 movement challenge, a fundraising effort aimed at supplying solar power to hospitals across Lebanon. Jihan designed a jacket specifically for this challenge, reflecting CSB’s commitment to encouraging social responsibility in its students.

  • CSB X ALBA X ITINÉRANCE - 2024

    CSB  and ALBA fashion design students joined the Mediterranean CraftWorkshop by Itinerance Mediterranée, collaborating with artisans across the Mediterranean to create garments inspired by the ex-voto concept, embodying wishes through textile cross-cultural dialogues. The workshop offered practical experience, learning from Beirut and Bekaa's skilled artisans of Artisan Du Liban, and included lectures on Intangible Cultural Heritage and the social role of design and co-creation.

  • CSB X BOKJA DESIGN STUDIO - 2023

    CSB students received five intensive workshops at Bokja Design ‘s inspiring atelier. Abu Yusif, Bokja’s deeply knowledgeable head embroiderer, taught the students how to navigate the embroidery machine and introduced them to its various intricate possibilities and techniques.

  • CSB X KILOMETRE - 2022

    CSB students were provided with items from Kilometre Paris collections, each marked with embroidered or printed details from settings across the globe, and tasked with breathing new life into them.

  • CSB X FASHION TRUST ARABIA - 2020

    Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) is an NGO that provides financial and business support and exposure to fashion designers in the MENA region. CSB collaborated with FTA to produce a line of WHO approved, limited-edition, high-end face masks which were sold online.

  • STUDIO COLLEKTIF X CSB - 2020

    In December 2020 CSB launched a collaboration with the online shop Studio Collectif to design detachable collars. The teams worked closely together from fabric choice to design to come up with products that showcased their commonalities.

  • CSB X SANTIAGO - 2019

    A collection of dresses was designed exclusively for Santiago by CSB alumni and students and launched at the Santiago boutique with the dresses displayed in motion in a curated dance sequence. 

  • CSB X INAASH - 2018

    Inaash is a Lebanese NGO that generates employment for Palestinian refugee women through the preservation and promotion of Palestinian embroidery. CSB frequently collaborates with them to create embroidered wearables.

  • CSB X VILLA AUDI - WEAVING THE SEA - 2015

    The exhibition (Weaving the Sea) displayed the results of collaborations that brought together craftsmen and designers from the different shores of the Mediterranean. Students worked with Spanish textile artist Carlos Salvador to create an elaborate patchwork coat.

  • 4 CONCEPT STORE (KUWAIT) - 2015

    CSB collaborated with the concept store 4, based in Kuwait, in which each student created individual collections. After exhibiting their collections, 4 provided one student with a grant to create an exclusive winter collection for its prestigious store.
