Najah Raya

Class of 2019
Baalbek, Lebanon
April, 1994

While studying at Creative Space Beirut, Najah developed a design practice centered on texture, color, and bold visual expression. Her thesis collection was inspired by her experience working in hospice care, exploring how beauty, dignity, and joy can coexist alongside terminal illness. This interest in finding light within difficult circumstances continues to inform her work today.

Since graduating, Najah has built a career in communications and storytelling within the social impact sector. She currently serves as Communications Officer at SANAD, the Home Hospice Organization of Lebanon, where she has worked since 2016. In this role, she leads communication strategy, visibility planning, content production, donor communications, and multimedia storytelling. Working closely with healthcare professionals, program teams, and beneficiaries, she translates complex humanitarian and healthcare interventions into accessible and ethical communication products. Through both her design background and communications work, Najah remains committed to highlighting stories of care, dignity, and human connection.
