Patile Tachjian

Class of 2025
Beirut, Lebanon
November, 2001

Patile’s family has been deeply rooted in the fashion industry for two generations, allowing her to grow up surrounded by fabric stores, factories, and the art of textiles. These early experiences sparked a lasting curiosity for fashion that continues to drive her today.

Her creative process centers on developing vibrant prints, intricate textiles, and wearable garments with unique and thoughtful details. Influenced by nostalgia, trinkets, textures, and the people around her, she brings intimacy and storytelling into her work. She also finds particular joy in designing accessories, shoes, and bags, which she considers an essential finishing touch to her collections.

Patile has gained diverse professional experience across the fashion industry, working with designers and brands such as Inaash, Ahmed Amer, Ibrahim Fakhreddine, Yassmin Saleh, and Roni Helou. Her roles ranged from fabric selection, embroidery design, and collection development to styling, sourcing, and production coordination. Notably, she contributed to the creation of a patchwork carpet-turned-dress for an exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar. She also completed a workshop and six-month internship in shoe design and production, deepening her technical expertise in footwear.

Through these experiences, Patile has consistently demonstrated her potential as a well-rounded designer, advancing her practice across multiple facets of fashion. Looking ahead, she aspires to establish her own brand while continuing to pursue her strong interest in footwear design.
