Patile Tachjian

Adieu B2079 - 2025

Patile Tachjian’s collection Adieu B2079 is a tactile tribute to her childhood home - an intimate reflection on the textures, memories, and imperfections that shaped her earliest experiences. Each piece captures a sense of warmth and nostalgia, blending material and memory in a farewell to a space that holds deep emotional resonance.

Inspired by the fabric patterns, colors, and objects that filled the home, the collection draws on crochet, embroidery, and beading to reconstruct the sensory world of childhood. Crochet motifs - ubiquitous throughout the home - appear across silhouettes, stitched with playful references to flowers, peppers, and the ornamental clutter of domestic life. Fur elements nod to a beloved family dog, while beads are delicately arranged in patterns inspired by her mother’s homemade mante, evoking the comfort of shared meals and generational traditions.

The silhouettes are playful and voluminous, influenced by childhood garments and the preppy styles of the early 2000s, yet grounded in the familiar shapes and colors of the home itself. Embroidered and beaded sticker motifs recall the small, random discoveries of youth.

In Adieu B2079, Tachjian transforms the intimate details of a personal history into garments that are at once tender and celebratory - textile-based reflections on memory, loss, and the enduring love of home.
