Cake on My Mind - 2025

Inspired by a childhood birthday memory - homemade cake, a cleaned terrace, and the quiet joy of celebration - this collection transforms nostalgia into playful, tactile design. At its heart are two blazers that connect to form a train, a direct reference to the cake that marked the designer’s sixth birthday. A bomber jacket reflects the dessert table, rich in color and texture, while a fringed shirt captures the lightness and movement of birthday balloons. A detachable bag recalls a schoolyard companion, grounding memory in wearable form. Techniques such as volume manipulation, beading, upholstery-inspired construction, aluminum structuring, silkscreen printing, and high-shine finishes bring the memory to life. Each element channels the innocence, imagination, and creativity of that day. Cake on My Mind is a playful, sentimental tribute to the simple celebrations that shape us.
