Bound in Threads - 2025

This collection is a tribute to the designer’s father, who passed away just months before the collection’s creation. It explores their bond, shared memories, and the lessons he left behind. Rooted in the chaos of childhood and the beauty of transformation, the collection draws from moments spent hunting, roaming the countryside, and embracing adventure. A pivotal metaphor is the destruction of a Barbie house during a playful fight, once a moment of sorrow, now a symbol of strength emerging from brokenness. These emotions are translated into garments through a fusion of rugged hunting aesthetics and delicate handcrafted macramé, reflecting both masculinity and vulnerability. The silhouettes follow an A-line structure, inspired by tents, evoking protection, shelter, and the natural world. Key techniques include macramé weaving and knotting, creating pieces that feel tactile and emotionally charged. Fabrics such as denim and cotton canvas are chosen for their durability and textured depth. The color palette, drawn from the earth, is grounded in rich, dark tones that speak to resilience and memory. Every thread in this collection carries meaning. Bound in Threads is a reflection on love, grief, and the quiet strength found in remembrance.
