Scent of Memory - 2025

Scent of Memory is a deeply personal collection shaped by a childhood marked by loss. Confronted with death at an early age, the designer was left with quiet, lingering memories, now translated into form, fabric, and silhouette. Each look represents a stage of grief. Dramatic, architectural shapes carry emotional weight, where structured tailoring meets raw, fragile textures. A long cape dress, bound in black ropes, evokes sorrow’s burden. Shredded layers and voluminous drapes mirror the chaos of anger and the confusion of depression. Asymmetrical suiting, crisp shirts, and black ties recall funeral rites, while winged sleeves and bird prints, inspired by Azrael, the angel of death, suggest fleeting moments of release.

The collection moves from heaviness to lightness, tracing the painful yet transformative arc of mourning. It stands as both a personal elegy and a tribute to the quiet resilience preserved in memory.
