Schism - 2015
Beauty is relative. SCHISM is based on the idea that ugliness is beauty in a different context. This collection plays with unusual fabrics that are usually considered undesirable in the fashion world. Each design was arrived at by experimenting with a combination of materials until an uncanny beauty, elicited from the change of context. The result is an elegant, forward collection that mixes unorthodox materials with evening-wear fabrics to create ready-to-wear items with a medley of techniques using lace, patchwork, and shrinking fabric to create texture.
