The Toys I Never Had - 2025

A deeply personal collection rooted in childhood memories at the designer’s grandmother’s house, the one place where he felt free to be himself. Playing with his cousins’ Barbies, a toy he wasn’t allowed at home, sparked the vision of a Barbie born from flowers. This figure symbolizes both generational connection and the nurturing bond between grandmother and child. The collection imagines a whimsical world where Barbies bloom each spring, brought to life by fairies. One Barbie sets out to find a home before winter, beginning a magical cycle in which every child receives a Barbie, connecting them to nature and the power of dreams. The designs are built through a meticulous process focused on precision, volume, and circular geometry. Using minimal textiles, the designer creates sculptural silhouettes through carefully engineered forms. Influenced by tailoring and made-to-measure techniques, the collection reflects a vision shaped by craftsmanship, storytelling, and the joy of transformation.
